(H.B. 386 "County Collection of Uniform and Motor Vehicle Fees" did not pass during the 1997 General Session. The bill addressed the issue of how often a county may elect to change
the method to collect motor vehicle fees. What is the best way
to collect motor vehicle fees? What are the costs of collection
and how should they be assigned? How should the
Legislature address these issues? This item is for the
information and discussion of committee members).

(Safe, efficient, and effective use of highways is increasingly important. "Access management" is the attempt to balance the need for access to land uses with the need to preserve the
flow of traffic on the highway system in terms of safety,
capacity, and speed.
How is the state implementing the principles of access management? What are the costs and
benefits of improving the state's efforts in this area? What
