        Data and forecasts relating to water supplies in the state will be presented.
    
        9:25 am    3.    Population and Water Demand Update
        
Revised forecasts for population and water demand in the state will be presented.

9:40 am    4.    Endangered Species Mitigation Funding
        HB 359, "Endangered Species Mitigation Fund" enacted in the 1997 General Session creates a fund to be used to protect threatened and endangered plant and animal species. Revenues in the fund derive from a tax on brine shrimp. It has been proposed to generate additional revenues through a tax on water delivered by water public systems.

Water conservancy district representatives will report on the progress of the Central Utah Project, development of the Bear River, and projects in Washington County.

        The state engineer will discuss a plan to place conditions on new appropriations in the Cache Valley.
