2. Approval of July 15, 1997 Minutes
3. Legislative Special Sessions
Legislative Special Sessions create a challenge to provide sufficient lead time for legislators to acquaint themselves with the issues and get
appropriate public input prior to decision making. Procedures in other
states will be reviewed for ideas in managing this difficult process.
4. Legislative Ethics
Staff will review current Utah statutes and rules governing public ethics as a beginning point for discussion.
5.
Compensation Issues
The committee will take time to plan for a future meeting where
legislative compensation will be discussed.
