Committee members will be asked to complete and submit a questionnaire prioritizing
study topics for the 1998 interim.

Legislative action in the 1998 General Session relating to the recodification of special
districts will be summarized.

2:45 p.m. 4. Optional Forms of County Government
Legislative action in the 1998 General Session relating to optional forms of county
government will be summarized. Some policy questions will also be outlined.

To study the salvage "rights" and the condemnation process as implemented by political
subdivisions of the state of Utah and agencies of the state of Utah. (Master Study Resolution Item #153; submitted by Sen. Evans)

The committee will be briefed on issues relating to the non-uniform selling of voter
registration lists by county clerks and the state. Questions include: 1) Who should be
allowed to purchase lists? 2) What information should be made available? and 3) What
should be the cost?
