May 7th 1998 Task Force Meeting
The second meeting of the task force will be held on Thursday, May 7th at 9:00 a.m. in Room 303, State Capitol. The task force agenda has not been finalized but will include:

Discussion and presentation of draft legislation and recommendations submitted to the task force (those wishing to present their position on May 7th must provide their recommendations by April 30, 1998 as previously outlined and reviewed below.)

Discussion of task force 1998 study plan and meeting schedule
April 30, 1998 Deadline for Recommendations
Those individuals wishing to submit
draft legislation on restructuring are reminded of the April 30, 1998
deadline. Recommended legislation should be in bill draft form and not as an outline or conceptual proposal. Each element outlined in 1998 General Session H.J.R. 7 should either be addressed or
affirmatively not addressed in the draft legislation. A summary of the draft legislation should be included.
Those advocating that any or all of the elements outlined in H.J.R. 7 should not be addressed through legislation in the 1999 General Session should provide that recommendation in writing
, along with reasons for the recommendation by no later than April 30, 1998.
All submitted recommendations received by April 30, 1998, will be reviewed and those who have
submitted recommendations will be allowed to present their position to the task force in the May 7, 1998
meeting.
