(The committee is required to make recommendations on creating a new state highway system based on its modifications to a proposed list of state highways described in S.B. 176. Which highways should comprise the state system and which should be under the jurisdiction of local governments? What should any transfers be based on? How can highway network integrity be maintained or improved? In the last meeting, the committee expressed an interest in hearing a presentation on the work that was accomplished as a result of S.C.R. 6, "Highway Transfer Process Resolution," that passed during the 1996 General Session.)
