2.    Airport Financing
    
    Committee staff will describe the sources of revenue typically used for the operation and development of airports, include federal and state funding programs, local government contributions, and user fees.

3.    Funding Needs
    
    The state of Utah through the Department of Transportation, Aeronautical Operations, provides financial assistance to airports. Mr. Barrett will discuss the need for additional funds.

4.    Aviation Fuel Prices
    
    State funds for the support of airport maintenance and development are derived from a tax on aviation fuel of $.04 per gallon. The price of aviation fuel varies from state to state. Mr. Brill will compare aviation fuel prices in Utah with those of other states and discuss the reasons for the price differences.
