2.     Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee (SLOC) Budget
     SLOC presented their budget on September 24th. The SLOC board of trustees met on October 8th to review and consider approval of the budget.

3.     Report of State Olympic Officer on SLOC Financial Plan
     Section 63A-7-106 of the Utah Code requires the SLOC to quarterly submit the financial plan for hosting the games to the Governor and to the Mayor of Salt Lake City for review and approval. The same code section requires the State Olympic Officer to annually report to the Sports Advisory Committee "concerning the financial plan for hosting the games ... including reporting on the source, timing, reliability of projections, financial soundness, security position, and contractual status of projected revenues and projected expenditures."

5.     The State of Utah and the Support and Promotion of Winter Sports after the Olympic Winter Games of 2002
     On August 27th, the Utah Sports Authority (USA) reviewed the draft report and recommendations of its Review and Futures Committee. The USA board amended and approved the report, a final copy of which was sent to the Sports Advisory Committee members on September 4th.
