At its last meeting, the Government Operations Committee discussed draft legislation _ "Judicial Debt Collection Amendments" and approved
several amendments to the bill. Committee members asked that the bill
as amended be brought back for final committee consideration.

4. Office of State Debt Collection -
The Office of State Debt Collection has proposed significant changes to its statutory authority to enhance its ability to collect debt. The
committee will consider the policy implications of these proposed
changes and determine which changes should be included in draft
legislation.
