1.    Committee Business
    .    Approval of minutes of July 15, 1998 and August 19, 1998
    
2.    Central Utah Project Mitigation
    The Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission was created by Congress to plan and fund projects to mitigate the environmental impacts of the Central Utah Project. The mitigation commission's top priority is to complete unfulfilled mitigation commitments made prior to its creation. These commitments include the acquisition of land for angler access. The Bureau of Reclamation, who is responsible for implementing mitigation projects funded by the mitigation commission, may use its power of eminent domain to acquire some lands.

3.    Consider Proposed Legislation, "Wildlife License Fee"
    
The bill specifies eligibility requirements for free fishing licenses.

4.    Consider Proposed Legislation, "Licensing Requirements for Falconry"
    
The bill requires a resident to obtain a certificate of registration to hold a falcon and engage in the sport of falconry.

5.    Consider Proposed Legislation, "State Water Development Commission"
    The State Water Development Commission, which is responsible for advising the governor and the Legislature on how the water needs of the state will be met, is scheduled to terminate on December 31, 1998. The bill reauthorizes the commission for a term of five years.

6.     Percholorate Contamination of Drinking Water
    S.B. 1, "Appropriations Act," of the 1998 General Session directs the Department of Environmental Quality to study percholorate contamination of drinking water and report its
findings to the Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment Interim Committee.

7.    Water Conservation Proposal
    
Utah State University proposes to create a water conservation center to assist users of municipal water in conserving water.
