HB0211 - Tuition Waivers for Teachers

State Impact:
It is estimated that provisions of the bill may be implemented with $450,000 of Uniform School Funds in FY 2002 and $900,000 annually thereafter. This estimate is based on the highest tuition rates in higher education. Additional funding may be required in future years. Teachers would pay tuition for the courses and be reimbursed.

Individual and Business Impact:
Teachers receiving tuition waivers would financially benefit.
