HB0376 - Concealed Weapon Permit Holders - Reciprocity

State Impact:
The requirement for formal agreements with other states, annual validation of contacts, and validation of non-permit counties and states will require a half time tech in the Department of Public Safety costing $21,000 in FY 2002 and $18,900 annually thereafter.

Individual and Business Impact:
Private parties from other states would have clearer direction as to their rights to carry guns in Utah. Utah residents would have a similar advantage as they traveled in other states.
