State Impact:
It is estimated that the participating agencies (Department of Public Safety, Youth and Adult Corrections, Juvenile Courts, and County Sheriffs) will incur costs of $369,500 in FY 2003 (General Funds: $267,500 and Restricted Funds: $102,000) and $260,800 (Ongoing General Funds: $158,800 and Ongoing Restricted Funds: $102,000) in FY 2004.

Individual and Business Impact:
Financially able offenders must reimburse the State or local agency obtaining the DNA specimen (Adult or Youth Corrections, Juvenile Court or County Sheriff) $75 for cost recovery.
