HB0295 - Taking Minor into Protective Custody without Warrant

State Impact:
It is estimated that this legislation will require warrants be obtained before a child is removed in approximately 50 percent of child removal cases. Costs to the Attorney General's Office and the Courts is estimated at $251,600 in FY 2003 and $236,700 in FY 2004 for staff and court time to prepare and process these warrants and petitions.
