As a citizen and land owner of Utah, I would ask that you pass HB 37 out of Rules committee. Our family has always enjoyed the outdoor recreation here in our home state of Utah. This bill will help to protect the landowners against, illegal trespass, vandalism, as well as liability for what happens on their property when someone is recreating on the public easement of the stream recreation within our states borders. It will be beneficial socially, and economically for our state. The passage of this law could ease the legal costs of upcoming supreme court suits, making their way through the courts (in regard to stream access), that would be dropped.
Thank you for your consideration.
