             5      AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $350,000 FROM THE
             6      GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-01 TO THE DIVISION OF WATER RIGHTS
             7      FOR AN INVENTORY AND PRELIMINARY HAZARD ASSESSMENT OF CANALS OR
             8      OTHER WATER DIVERTING WORKS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
             9      This act enacts uncodified material.
             10      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             11          Section 1. Appropriation.
             12          (1) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2000-01, $350,000 to the
             13      Division of Water Rights for an inventory and preliminary hazard assessment of canals or other
             14      water diverting works.
             15          (2) The Division of Water Rights shall report on the findings of the inventory and
             16      preliminary hazard assessment to the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim
             17      Committee by October 31, 2001.
             18          Section 2. Effective date.
             19          This act takes effect on July 1, 2000.
