Mr. Speaker:

    The Health and Human Services Committee recommends H.B. 259, PILOT PROGRAM FOR DIFFERENTIATED RESPONSES TO CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT REPORTS, by Representative M. Throckmorton, be replaced and reports a favorable recommendation on 1st Sub. H.B. 259, PILOT PROGRAM FOR DIFFERENTIATED RESPONSES TO CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT REPORTS with the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Line 77:    After Line 77, insert: "(i) neglect involving a verbal child who is six years of age or older that is not serious or chronic;"

        Renumber subsequent subsections of the bill accordingly.
