Mr. President:

    The Transportation and Public Safety Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 200, MENTAL HEALTH COMMITMENT AMENDMENTS, by Senator R. Montgomery, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 8, Lines 241-244:    Delete lines 241 through 244

2.    Page 9, Lines 245-256:    Delete lines 245 through 256 and insert:

        "On or before July 1, 2000, the Division of Mental Health shall              sign a memorandum of agreement with the state's designated              Protection and Advocacy Agency which shall provide for                  compilation, analysis, and reporting of information relating to              adults involuntarily civilly committed in this state after July 1,              2000. Those reports shall be due to the Protection and Advocacy          Agency by November 1, 2000, November 1, 2001, and November          1, 2002."
