Senator John L. Valentine proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Line 51:    After line 51 insert:
        " 53A-17a-131.19, Utah Code Annotated 1953"

2.    Page 6, Line 167:    Delete " $7,033,759 " and insert " $7,420,659 "

3.    Page 7, Line 187:    Delete line 187 and insert:
        " State contribution to school districts. $1,113,100 "

4.    Page 23, Line 686:    Delete " $8,533,759 " and insert " $7,420,659 "

5.    Page 23, Lines 707-709:    Delete lines 707 through 709

6.    Page 26, Line 773:    After line 773 insert:
        "Section 34. Section 53A-17a-131.19 is enacted to read:
         53A-17a-131.19. State contribution to school districts.
         The state's contribution of $1,113,100 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, is allocated to school districts for local programs on the basis of each district's prior year weighted pupil units for grades k-12 and necessarily existent small schools. "

7.    Page 28, Lines 862-864:    Delete lines 862 through 864 and renumber remaining subsections accordingly.

         Renumber remaining sections accordingly.
