Representative Katherine M. Bryson
proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 5, Line 134 After "for a" delete "two-year" and insert "four-year"
2. Page 5, Line 139 At the beginning of the line delete "three" and insert "two"
3. Page 5, Line 141 After "for a" delete "two-year" and insert "four-year"
4. Page 6, Line 152 After "from a" insert "trial"
5. Page 6, Line 153 After "for a" delete "two-year" and insert "four-year"
6. Page 6, Line 166 At the beginning of the line delete "Seven" and insert "Six"
7. Page 7, Line 188 After "executive director" delete "should" and insert "shall"
8. Page 7, Line 196 After "employ" delete "a director" and insert "an executive
director"
9. Page 7, Line 199 After line 199 insert
"(10) Members serving on January 1, 2002 shall serve from the
date of their appointment until April 30, 2002. After May 1, 2002,
members shall be appointed as provided in Section 78-8-102,
except that those appointed shall draw by lot for terms of office of
two and four years so that the terms of office of approximately half
of the commission members shall expire every two years"
10. Page 12, Line 347 After line 347 insert:
"Section 6. Effective date
If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house,
this act takes effect on May 1, 2002."
