Senator Karen Hale proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 30, Line 923:    At the beginning of the line insert "(1)"

2.    Page 30, Line 925:    Delete "(1)" and insert "(a)"

3.    Page 30, Line 926:    Delete "(2)" and insert "(b)"

4.    Page 31, Line 928:    Delete "(3)" and insert "(c)"

5.    Page 31, Line 930:    Delete "(4)" and insert "(d)"

6.    Page 31, Line 931:    Delete "(5)" and insert "(e)"

7.    Page 31, Line 933:    Delete "(6)" and insert "(f)" and after line 933 insert the following:

        "(2) For the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2003, the State Board of Education may use up to $2,500,000 of uncommitted nonlapsing balances for adult high school completion and adult basic skills programs."
