         AMENDMENTS RELATED TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Senator David H. Steele proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 12:    After " changes." insert " This act provides a coordination clause."

2.    Page 42, Line 1289:    After line 1289 insert:
        "Section 34. Coordination clause.
        If this bill and H.B. 105, Internet Privacy and Security Amendments, both pass, it is the intent of the Legislature that the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel in preparing the Utah Code database for publication:
        (1) renumber Title 63D, Chapter 1, Part 4 as enacted in H.B. 105 to Title 63D, Chapter 1a, Part 4;
        (2) delete Subsection 63D-1-402(2) as enacted in H.B. 105 and replace it with the following:
        "(2) "Governmental entity" means:
        (a) an executive branch agency;
        (b) a political subdivision of the state:
        (i) as defined in Section 17B-2-101; and
        (ii) including a school district;
        (c) the legislative branch;
        (d) the judicial branch;
        (e) the State Board of Education;
        (f) the Board of Regents; or
        (g) institutions of higher education.";
        (3) delete Subsection 63D-1-402(6) as enacted in H.B. 105; and
        (4) renumber the remaining subsections accordingly.
