1. S.B. 79 REPEAL OF CHILD WELFARE WORKER DESIGNATIONS (Sen. D.
Eastman)
Sen. Eastman presented the bill to the committee.
Richard Anderson, Director, Division of Child and Family Services spoke in favor of the
bill.
MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass S.B. 79 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed with Sen. Thomas, Sen. Julander and Sen. Allen absent at
the time of the vote.
2. S.B. 14 INSURANCE CODE EXEMPTION (Sen. G. Bell)
Sen. Bell presented the bill to the committee.
Michael Stapley, Deseret Mutual Benefit Association, spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. B. Evans moved to pass S.B. 14 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed with Sen. Thomas absent at the time of the vote.
3. S.B. 32 USE OF ASTHMA MEDICATION BY PUPILS IN SCHOOL (By P. Arent)
Sen. Arent presented the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to amend the bill as follows:
Page 2, Line 51: After line 51 insert:
"(4) Section 53A-11-904 does not apply to the possession and
self-administration of asthma medication in accordance with this
section."
The motion passed with Sen. Thomas absent at the time of the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to adopt 2nd. Substitute S.B. 90.
