Senator D. Chris Buttars proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Lines 35 through 51 :    

             35          78-27d-102. Definitions.
             36          As used in this chapter:

  (a)       "Food" means:

             40          
[[   (a)   ]]        (i)       articles used for internal consumption for man or other animals;

             41          
[[   (b)   ]]        (ii)       chewing gum; and

             42          
[[   (c)   ]]        (iii)       articles used for components of Subsection      [[   (a)   ]]        (i)       or      [[   (b)   ]]        (ii)       .

    
  (b) "Food," for the purposes of this chapter, does not include food, the nutritional, caloric, and fat content of which are not disclosed to the consumer upon request, after notification, at the point of consumption or sale.

  (5) "Notification" means a notice to the consumer that nutritional, caloric, and fat information is available upon request, which notice is conspicuously posted or printed in menus.
