Rep. Murray called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2005 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Cosgrove, Dougall, Fisher and Gibson absent for the vote.

S.B. 114    County and Municipal Zoning Regarding Billboards (Sen. M. Waddoups)

Sen. Waddoups explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Reps. Dougall and Fisher absent for the vote.

S.B. 49    Motor Vehicle Liability Coverage Amendments (Sen. D. Eastman)

Sen. Eastman explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Morgan moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 261    Motorboat Liability Insurance and Uninsured Motorist and Motorboat Identification Database Program Amendments (Rep. K. Gibson)

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to delete in title and body H. B. 261 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 261. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Gibson explained the bill.

Mike Sonntag, Bear River Insurance, spoke to the bill.

The following people spoke for the bill:

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to amend 1st Sub. H.B. 261 as follows

1.    Page 8, Line 240 :    

             240          (b) "Motorboat" includes personal watercraft
  regardless of the manufacturer listed horsepower       .


MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to pass the amended bill out favorably. The motion passed with Reps. Morgan and Wallace voting in opposition and Rep. Dunnigan absent for the vote.

H.B. 367    Restrictions on High Occupancy Vehicle Lane (Rep. D. Litvack)

This bill was not considered at this meeting.

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to adjourn the meeting.
